RAIN / INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
When adverse weather is present (either the day of the game or the days preceding a game), the Club will make a determination as to whether games will be played by 7:30 a.m. the day of the game. An announcement will be put on page one (1) of the website and a recorded announcement will be placed on the Club telephone line ( 831-336-3312) indicating any field closures. Please note that it does not have to be raining to have field closures. If saturation occurs which makes for dangerous conditions on the field or fields (irrespective of the presence of rain), the fields will be closed. Also, please note that it is possible for some fields to be closed (or a single field) and others open, depending upon the specific field conditions at each location.
The Club's paramount concern in evaluating field closures is the safety of the children and the potential for damage to the fields. Thus, when the fields are closed, they are not to be used for games or practices, as the Club has made a determination that such use presents a risk to the children and will damage the fields for future use.
Any team that violates this policy may be subject to suspension from Club activities or other sanctions, as appropriate.
