SELECT PLAYER RULES OF CONDUCT

EACH SVSLV SOCCER CLUB PLAYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADHERING TO THE FOLLOWING RULES

1) Play by the Rules - Always play by the rules. 2) Do Not Argue With the Referees - Never argue with a referee or assistant referee. If you disagree with a call speak with your coach. 3) Avoid Negative Comments / Control Your Temper - Control your temper and maintain control over your emotions. Always avoid bad/negative comments and/or gestures, and know that purposely distracting or annoying an opponent is not allowed behavior in soccer.
4) Work Hard - Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team's performance will benefit, so will you.
5) Be A Good Sport - Be a good sport; applaud all good plays whether they are made by your team or the opposition.
6) Treat Others With Respect - Treat all participants in soccer as you like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor.
7) Be Cooperative - Cooperate with your coach, teammates and opponents at all times. Without them there would be no game.
8) Enjoy the Game - Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit, not just to please parents and coaches.
9) Be Respectful - Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants and soccer community members, regardless of the their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
10) Referees - Give Them a Break - Believe that referees, just as coaches and players, are attempting to do their best.
11) Your Attitude Affects Others - Understand that your attitude can influence the players, coaches and spectators and, ultimately, the positive experience of all involed in the game.
12) Practice & Game Attendance - Remember that practices are just as important as games and your attendance helps your team. Always notify your coach if you must miss a practice or a game.
13) Thank Your Coach & Parents - Always thank your coach and parents after each game and each practice.
14) Have Fun - Play for the fun of soccer!
