SHOULD MY CHILD PLAY RECREATION SOCCER OR ADVANCED TEAM SOCCER?

Recreation Soccer
Most of the Club's children play Recreation soccer (about 80%). Recreation soccer is open to all. The focus of the program is on the kids having fun and recreation. Every child gets an opportunity to play. For most age groups, the games are all played locally - in the SV/SLV area (except for U12 and up). The Club's recreation soccer program is designed to give children a positive experience and an opportunity to play soccer with a less "competition based" focus. It is designed for fun! (CLICK HERE)
Competition or Advanced Team Soccer
Competition or advanced soccer is a more competitive, tryout based program. Each child must tryout (through open tryouts) for the appropriate age team. Each player may be extended an offer to play on that competition team. However, because of limited space on each team, not every child who tries out makes the team.
The advanced program is more competitive and requires a greater commitment by the child and the parents, as there are more practices, more local travel to games, as well as tournaments. The demand on the child and the parents is much greater. It is also fun (with just a more competitive focus)! (CLICK HERE)
